MCP server

Make UGC ads from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor

Connect Krust to your AI assistant and it can run your Krust account: read what Krust knows about your products and buyers, draft scripts, film video ads and static ads on your credits, and edit finished ads in plain words.

Free to sign up. Making ads needs a plan. Plans from $19 a month billed yearly, or $39 month to month.

Connect in one line

In Claude Code, add the server, then sign in to Krust in the browser window that opens. The server URL is https://www.trykrust.com/api/mcp.

claude mcp add --transport http krust https://www.trykrust.com/api/mcp
Claude Code

Run the line above, then /mcp, pick krust and sign in in the browser window that opens.

Claude Desktop and claude.ai

Add a custom connector with the server URL, then sign in to Krust when it asks.

Cursor

Add Krust to your mcp.json (below), then sign in when Cursor asks.

ChatGPT and other MCP clients

Where your client takes a remote MCP server or custom connector, give it the server URL and sign in.

Cursor (mcp.json)

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "krust": {
      "url": "https://www.trykrust.com/api/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Two ways to sign in

Sign in (OAuth)

Recommended. OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration and PKCE: your client opens a Krust sign-in page and you allow it. No key to copy, and each sign-in can be revoked under Settings → Integrations.

API key (krust_live_…)

For scripts and agents without a browser. Create a key under Settings → Integrations → Krust MCP and send it as a Bearer token.

claude mcp add --transport http krust https://www.trykrust.com/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer krust_live_…"

An ad made over MCP

The same pipeline as the app: the script is written for one audience and angle, the presenters are cast from that audience, and the ad comes back finished.

Filmed by make_ad over the Krust MCP: a 15-second street interview from the Street-interview vox-pop template. The interviewer and both people answering are AI-generated.

All 16 tools

The same list and descriptions your assistant sees. Reading, drafting and fixing facts spend nothing. make_ad charges the template's price in credits, which list_templates shows; make_statics charges for each image; edit_ad charges only when a take is re-filmed.

  • get_accountNo credits
    Account, brand and credits

    The active brand, its markets/language, the credit balance and the list of brands on the account. Check the balance here before make_ad or make_statics.

  • list_productsNo credits
    Products of the active brand

    Products with their context score (0–100, how well Krust knows the product; below 40 means ads may show it wrong).

  • get_product_contextNo credits
    What Krust knows about a product

    The fact sheet the writers and generators read (form, contents, usage, label, claims), the open questions with their ids, and the score. Drafts the facts from the product photo first if none exist (~30 s).

  • add_product_factNo credits
    Tell Krust something about the product

    Free text: an answer to an open question, a correction, a fact ("the can is 330 ml, the drink is clear and fizzy"). Krust reads it and updates the fact sheet; returns what changed. Use questionId to answer a specific open question.

  • set_product_notesNo credits
    Set the free-form notes on a product

    Replaces the product's notes (up to 2,000 characters): the catch-all every writer reads, such as brand no-gos, the words the brand always uses and the moments ads must show.

  • list_templatesNo credits
    Ad templates

    The video-ad templates this account can run: id, name, family, what it films, length, credits (what one ad costs) and Keep/Skip stats. Use an id with draft_brief and make_ad.

  • list_audiencesNo credits
    Who buys a product, with angles

    The confirmed audiences for a product (who, worry, messenger) and each one's angles (id, name, hook, claim). Drafts them first if there are none.

  • draft_briefNo credits
    Draft the script and cast for an ad (free)

    Writes the ad the way make_ad would (personas and script for template × product × audience/angle) without filming. Read it, then pass it to make_ad as `brief` to film exactly this, or adjust it with your own wording.

  • make_adSpends credits
    Film an ad from a template (spends credits)

    Queues a template ad for a product and spends credits: the template's price (credits in list_templates), charged when it queues and refused with a reason when the balance is short. count (1–5, at most the number of angles the audience has) queues one ad per angle of the audience, the chosen angle first, after checking that the balance covers all of them. Returns the ad ids; poll get_ad. Pass the brief from draft_brief (edited or not) to film that exact script (with count, the first ad films it); otherwise Krust writes one.

  • get_adNo credits
    Status and files of an ad

    Status (pending · rendering · awaiting · ready · failed), the playable URL and poster when ready, the hook line, template and product.

  • list_adsNo credits
    Recent ads

    The account's recent template ads, newest first, with status and URLs.

  • edit_adRe-films only
    Change a finished ad in words

    Ask for an edit in plain language ("cut the second sentence", "swap the second shot for a product close-up", "subtitles off"). Without apply, Krust proposes the edit ops and says what re-filming would cost. Call again with the same instruction and apply=true to re-cut the ad with that proposal (free when nothing re-films; re-filmed takes spend credits). Returns the proposal and, if applied, the render status.

  • list_scenesNo credits
    Scene library

    The account's filmed scenes (silent clips and takes) that the editor and templates reuse.

  • list_static_layoutsNo credits
    Static ad layouts

    The static-ad layouts Krust can remake for a product: id, name, category, aspect ratio, the layout brief.

  • make_staticsSpends credits
    Remake static layouts for a product (spends credits)

    Queues one static remake per layout id for the product, in the brand's language (or the given market). Spends credits for each image. Returns what started; poll list_static_remakes.

  • list_static_remakesNo credits
    Static remakes

    Recent static remakes with status and image URLs.

Three things to ask

“Look at my Krust products and tell me which one Krust knows least about. Ask me its open questions one at a time and save my answers.”

list_productsget_product_contextadd_product_fact

The fact sheet every script is written from gets fixed before any ad is made. None of this spends credits.

“Write a street-interview ad for my best seller, aimed at my first audience. Show me the script and the credit cost before you film anything.”

list_templateslist_audiencesdraft_briefmake_ad

draft_brief costs nothing, so you read and edit the script in the chat first. Once you say go, make_ad films that exact script.

“If my balance covers it, make 3 podcast-style ads for the same product, one for each angle of that audience.”

get_accountlist_templatesmake_ad (count: 3)get_ad

Krust checks that the balance covers all three before it queues any, then films one ad per angle.

Formats in these prompts: street interview and podcast-style.

Other ad tools work from an assistant too. Here is what is behind Krust's.

Arcads, MakeUGC, Creatify, Higgsfield, HeyGen and Topview can all be used from an AI assistant as well. The connector is the easy part. What matters is what the tools know when your assistant calls them.

Your store, read first

Krust reads your store and product photos into a fact sheet: what the product is, what is inside, how it is used and what the label says. get_product_context returns it with the open questions, so your assistant can fix a wrong fact before an ad shows it.

Your buyers, with angles

list_audiences returns who buys each product, what worries them and the kind of person they listen to, with angles to open from. Pass an audience and an angle, and the script is written for that buyer and that angle.

A presenter from that audience

The person on camera is cast from the audience the ad is for: the same gender and age range. Presenters are AI-generated, so label the ads as AI when you run them.

The price before the spend

list_templates shows what each ad costs in credits, draft_brief writes the script without spending any, and make_ad refuses when the balance can't cover it.

Questions

What is the Krust MCP server?

An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server at https://www.trykrust.com/api/mcp. Once it is connected, an AI assistant such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor can use 16 Krust tools on your account: read your products, facts and audiences, draft scripts, film video ads and static ads, and edit finished ads in plain words.

Do I need an API key?

No. Most clients sign in with OAuth: add the server, then allow it in the browser window that opens. For scripts and agents without a browser, create a krust_live_ key under Settings → Integrations → Krust MCP and send it as a Bearer token.

Does using Krust through MCP cost extra?

No. There is no separate MCP price. Reading, drafting briefs and fixing facts spend nothing, and ads and statics made through MCP spend the same credits as in the app. Plans are from $19 a month billed yearly, or $39 month to month. Free to sign up. Making ads needs a plan.

How do I know what an ad costs before it is made?

list_templates returns each template's price in credits and get_account returns your balance. make_ad charges that price when the ad queues, and refuses with both numbers when the balance is short. edit_ad tells you what re-filming would cost before you apply an edit.

Can it make several ads at once?

Yes. make_ad takes a count from 1 to 5 and queues one ad per angle of the audience, so the count can't be higher than the number of angles that audience has. It checks that your balance covers all of them first. Starter renders one ad at a time, Pro up to 5 in parallel; the rest wait in line.

Which assistants work with it?

Any MCP client that connects to a remote server over HTTP, such as Claude Code, Claude Desktop, claude.ai and Cursor, and ChatGPT where custom connectors are available. The server supports OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration and PKCE, so clients that sign in on their own need no key.

What do the ads look like?

Finished 9:16 video ads for TikTok, Reels, Shorts and Meta, made from 100 templates in 54 formats, with the dialogue, voiceover and captions each template has, in 18 languages. Static ads are remade from Krust's static layouts for your product.

How do I disconnect an assistant?

Each sign-in adds a key to your account. Revoke it under Settings → Integrations → Krust MCP and that assistant loses access.
